LISTING'S CIRCULAR NO. L/Q : 8273 OF 2000

Kindly be advised that:-

(i) Listing and quotation of SMPC’s additional 14,924,500 new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each
arising from the Rights Issue will be granted with effect from 9.00 a.m., Thursday, 14 December
2000.

(ii) SMPC’s 14,924,500 Warrants arising from the Rights Issue will be admitted to the Official List
of the Exchange and the listing and quotation of the Warrants on the Second Board under the
"Loans" sector will be granted with effect from 9.00 a.m., Thursday, 14 December 2000, on a
"Ready" basis pursuant to the Rules of the Exchange.

The Stock Short Name, ISIN Code and Stock Number of the Warrants are "SMPC-WA", "MYL7099WAFB1" and "7099WA" respectively.

Each warrant will entitle its Warrant holder during the exercise period to subscribe for one (1) new share in SMPC at the exercise price of RM1.75. The Warrants may be exercised at any time during the five (5) years from the date of issuance of the Warrants. The expiry date of the Warrants is 21 November 2005. Warrants not exercised during the exercise period will thereafter lapse and cease to be valid.

Kindly also be advised that the Warrants of SMPC are prescribed securities. Dealings in SMPC Warrants should be carried out in accordance with the Securities Industry (Central Depositories) Act, 1991 and the Rules of Malaysian Central Depository Sdn Bhd.

Kindly also be reminded that only "free securities" can be utilised for settlement of trades involving the aforesaid Warrants.
